Asset Details

  • Description:
  • Experimental approaches to investigate the source of micro‐organisms required by Daphnia. The starting material for the experiments of Mushegian et al. () was resting eggs that were either deprived of micro‐organisms in different locations (Experiment 1) or rendered microbe‐free by surface sterilization and then administered different microbial treatments (Experiment 2). The ephippium photo was taken by Frida Ben‐Ami and Liron Goren, the Daphnia photo was taken by Dieter Ebert and the egg photo taken by Elham Sheikh‐Jabbari [Colour figure can be viewed at wileyonlinelibrary.com]
