- Description:
- Eleven ponderosa pine woodlands located in the west‐central Great Plains that were sampled for this study. The study area was separated into northern (N), central (C) and southern (S) longitudinal regions. Sites N1, C1 and S1 are located at the base of the Front Range. Sites N4, C4 and S3 are the easternmost woodland areas containing ponderosa pine in each longitudinal region. Information about each site is given in Table 1.
