  • Electrophoretic mobility shift assay. WT DevR and DevR∆α10 mutant proteins were analyzed for binding to 32P‐labelled hspX promoter DNA. In both panels, 0.5, 1, 2 and 3 μm refer to the concentrations of either phosphorylated (Phos) or unphosphorylated (Unphos) protein as indicated. ‘0’, DNA without protein; ‘f’ and ‘b’, free and protein‐bound DNA, respectively.
