Lane 2 (a & b) represents amplicons of TIMP‐1 and TIMP‐2, respectively, after challenging the cells with TGF‐β1 (10 ng/mL) (GAPDH used as an internal control). Each experiment was repeated three times in triplicates and expressed as mean ± S.D. (*= P < 0.05, **= P < 0.01, against controls).
