- Description:
- goeBURST analysis of MLVA types at a single locus variant level. Each node represents a distinct MLVA type, and the size of the node is proportional to the number of isolates of the MLVA type. Single locus variant MLVA types are connected by solid lines. The color of the node indicates the study unit: red – unit A; blue – unit B. MLVA clonal complexes (MC) and the five most dominant MLVA types (MT) are depicted by their type numbers and by the number of the corresponding sequence types (ST). Isolates (n = 35) that did not belong to any of the three major MCs were grouped together as non‐MC. A white asterisk denotes MLVA types of S. epidermidis from the bloodstream of neonates with late‐onset sepsis, with each asterisk corresponding to one invasive isolate: MC3 MLVA type MT34 (n = 4), MC2 MLVA types MT23 (n = 1), and MT20 (n = 1), non‐MC isolates MT57 (n = 1) and MT58 (n = 1).
