  • Evaluation of the present immunostaining of NOS and TH at 16 weeks. Panels A and C display immunostaining of neuronal nitric oxide synthase or NOS. Panels B and D exhibit immunostaining of tyrosine hydroxylase or TH. Ganglion cell bodies (circles in panels A and B) along the sixth segmental bronchus (B6) appeared to be negative for both of NOS and TH (Panels A and B). In contrast, a ganglion along the cardiac nerve contains ganglion cell bodies expressing strongly immunoreactivity of NOS (Panel C) or TH (Panel D). The cardiac nerve also contain TH‐positive fibers. Panels A and B (or Panels C and D) were prepared at the same magnification (all scale bars, 0.1 mm).
