Asset Details

  • Description:
  • Upper panel: The daily mean temperature in East Jutland, Denmark in 2009. Lower panel: The average fresh weight (g) of Arion lusitanicus captured in the field at 20 different locations in East Jutland in the period from 1 April to 1 October 2009. Each black dot () represents the average fresh weight of slugs captured at that day. Values are mean ± SE (n = 1–36). The solid line shows the calculated growth using Eqn and the actual temperature given in Upper panel. The parameters used in Eqn are as follows; α = 16.39, κ = 6.34 × 10–4, δ = 1.004.The data within the dotted triangle [lower right corner of (B)] are most likely juveniles that hatched in late August/September.
