Asset Details

  • Description:
  • (A) Relationship of carbon dioxide net carbon assimilation (An) to leaf water potential, (B) An and photosynthetically active radiation (PAR) during the experiment for well‐watered [control, and control plus 1‐methylcyclopropene (1‐MCP)] and drought‐stressed (stress, and stress plus 1‐MCP) cotton plants at Brazos County, TX, in 2008 and 2009 greenhouse experiments. The arrow denotes when watering of stressed plants was initiated with the amount of water necessary to bring pots slightly above 8% CC. This occurred on the evening of 9 DAT and was resupplied again whenever plants reached water status below the wilting point. Plants were thus kept at a constant level of stress. Bars represent SE where greater than the symbol.
