  • Number of main‐stem nodes of cotton above a sympodial branch with a first‐position white bloom (bloom at anthesis) at various times throughout the 2001 and 2002 growing seasons in plots of four different N fertility treatments. These N fertility treatment means were averaged across two planting dates and three cotton varieties. Vertical bars denote LSD values at the 0.05 level and are present only when the differences between N fertility treatments are statistically significant at the 0.05 level.
