  • Dissemination out of tumor cell aggregates. To quantify migration of tumor cells out of three‐dimensional tumor aggregates, single aggregates were allowed to adhere to surfaces coated with BSA or merosin. Dissemination was determined by regression analysis of the radius increase of the migratory front of cells over the initial radius of the attached aggregate (upper panel). The specific increase of cells migrating out of aggregates placed on merosin coated substrates was calculated as the substrate induced migration (lower panel). Determinations in replicates of at least six aggregates. Error bars: S.D.
