- Apoptosis studies. (A) Annexin‐V staining of HepG2 cells; cells were incubated with IC50 concentrations of compounds D19 and D22 for 48 h. Cells were stained with FITC labelled Annexin‐V and quantified by flow cytometry. Representative images showing FITC‐Annexin‐V positive cells; (B) Bar graph representation of HepG2 cells that showed the percentage of apoptotic cells for duplicate measurements ± SD. **p < 0.001, compared with the control (untreated cells). Statistical analysis was done using t‐test for unpaired samples. For anti‐cancer activities doxorubicin has been taken as positive control.
