- Description:
- Latitudinal variation of hourly TEC values over Jicamarca longitude (bin size 10°) at selected UTs (marked by different colors) on (a) 5–6 September 2017 (quiet day) and (b) 7–8 September 2017 (event day). The solid vertical lines indicate the location of the magnetic dip equator and dashed and dotted vertical lines are marked at ±10° and ±20° magnetic dip latitudes, respectively. The TEC peaks are centered at 10° on the quiet day, whereas the peaks are centered at 20° at 0100 UT on event day. The TEC data over Jicamarca sector are obtained from Madrigal CEDAR Database (http://cedar.openmadrigal.org/index.html/). TEC = total electron content; UT = universal time.
