Asset Details

  • Description:
  • MT (–/–) mice exhibit enhanced tissue damage, including neutrophil infiltration in the kidney after LPS challenge. WT mice or MT (–/–) mice were injected intraperitoneally with 30 mg/kg body weight of LPS or vehicle. At 36 hours after injection, the mice were killed and histopathological findings of the kidney were assessed with hematoxylin and eosin stain. A) WT mice injected with LPS; (B) MT (–/–) mice injected with LPS; (C) WT mice injected with vehicle; (D) MT (–/–) mice injected with vehicle (×400); (E) Quantitative analysis of neutrophil sequestration into the lung (n=7 in each group). Open bars: WT mice; filled bars: MT (–/–) mice. ∗P < 0.01 vs. vehicle‐treated mice; #P < 0.05 vs. LPS‐treated WT mice. Values are the mean ± SEM in each group.
